A slipcased copy of WMP’s first Image book: ONE WEEK IN THE LIBRARY (an experimental graphic novella featuring art by John Amor—which was nominated for an Eisner, and became the catalyst for the hit ongoing horror anthology ICE CREAM MAN.)
These slipcases were made by hand in a now-defunct Brooklyn wood shop—with warm cherry wood subsequently laser-engraved on the front, back, and spine.
These are last 2 of these babies left in existence…1 of which being WMP’s personal copy. I think only 97or so were made in total, as gifts.
(The cases feature slight variations from each other, which in the wood working business we call “bespoke charm.”)
All proceeds (less shipping) will be donated to support the continued career of Frazer Irving—the cover artist for this weird book about other books. The price point reflects the labor, materials, and scarcity of the wooden slipcases—as well as the support of Frazer.
